At
Hays Insurance, we are about personal contact and service. We
are driven by your needs, not by "pushing products". We
believe in keeping a high-quality stable of companies to choose from,
then selecting and presenting to you the best options we can
find. Long-term, this customer-needs focus has resulted in a high
retention level, and our highest value remains nurturing our
customers' confidence and satisfaction. We
cannot control insurance rates! But, we can do the best by
finding the optimal solutions for each person and company's insurance
program needs. We look at the overall situation, and
suggest the appropriate plan as the customer expresses their needs
to us. Hays
Insurance began in 1991, when Jack and Ellen Hays (both retired
teachers, Jack Sr. the Hall of Honor football coach and athletic
director, and Ellen the equally legendary first grade teacher) ventured
into business for themselves. The Agency was built on this trust
and knowledge of the founding individuals, both of whom are still
directly associated with the Agency. Since the
Hays' son Jack bought the Agency in 2001, his main goal has
been to continue the tradition of care, fairness, and
personal attention that the Agency was founded upon. As our motto says, we are "small-town, not small-time." We
like the feel of a small town, the visual contact with customers, and
being part of a community, but we are equally certain that in employing
us, you will get no less than the top tier of insurance companies
available. For example, we represent 6 of the top 10 auto
insurance companies in Texas! Our
Owner, Jack Randall Hays, aka Jackie, was a high school coach for
7 years, then a commercial banker for 18 years, before buying Hays
Insurance in 2001. His wonderful wife of 33 years, Andrea, is a
former first grade teacher from the Angleton, Texas school
district. Their beautiful and smart daughters, Sara, and Amy,
live in Austin, Texas. Sara's husband, Ryan, is a graphic
designer, and they have a son, Evan, 6, who is already on the scouts'
radar as the future successor to Manning, ARod,
and Beckham. We
are proud of our corporate citizenship, giving to the community in
many ways. Jackie and Jack are very involved in Rotary, a truly
great and worthy institution. Jackie and Jack are Past Club
Presidents, and Jackie is entering his third year as Assistant District
Governor for District 5890. The
Agency heavily supports local school and nonprofits' endeavors.
Jackie is also on the Board of the West Columbia Economic Development
Corporation, and is currently Chairman of the Columbia United Methodist
Church Council.
